The Cambria Film Festival Featuring Romance and Romantic Comedies
February 8 – 11, 2018
Back in the 1920s and 1930s many Hollywood elite made the trek along the central coast of California to Hearst Castle. Guests including Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant, Greta Garbo, and James Stewart would attend formal dinners and screen films from Hearst’s own movie studio.
But these days, there’s a new “show” in town. Cambria welcomes its first film festival along the central coast that will showcase both classic and new films—all in an intimate festival setting in the charming California seaside town. The Cambria Film Festival was created with the idea of matching the joy of films of a romantic and comedic nature with Cambria, a town known for its beauty and romance.
Love is in the air and in Cambria! Long known for its art galleries, wine tasting, and quaint weekend getaways, the small, seaside village of Cambria, California will host a 4-day film festival dedicated to romance and romantic comedies February 8 -11, 2018, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Core to the Festival is a film competition with feature-length, shorts, documentaries, animation, and foreign language entries. In addition to showing the top films from the competition, the Festival will also highlight classics, including a special showing of a beloved romantic comedy as part of a Champagne Gala, to be held at the Hearst Castle State Park Theater, San Simeon, on Sunday, February 11, at 6 pm.
