Cayucos 4th of July Festival
JULY 4, 2018
The annual Fourth of July celebration in Cayucos is any annual tradition for many. It’s a fun-filled, fabulous day filled with family friendly events. One of the things that makes it so special, apart from the small town charm and jaw dropping fireworks, is the the festivities last all day long.
Early risers are invited to join in the fun on the beach at the sand sculpture contest. The sand sculptures are created by children, novices and professionals alike. Strolling the beach mid-morning to check out these works of art is a favorite of many. The hometown parade is a delight to all. You’ll find the sidewalks of Ocean Avenue lined with lawn chairs and blankets as this parade is a favorite of residents and visitors alike. Make sure you come early to find parking and your observation spot.
Spend the afternoon exploring the local shops throughout downtown Cayucos. You won’t find any chain stores here! If you’re looking for lunch and some more wholesome fun, the Lions Club offers a BBQ followed by bingo at the Vet’s Hall. And the fireworks display being shot off the pier? Well, come see for yourself! Find that special spot on the beach and enjoy the show. Cayucos rocks on the 4th of July!
If you want to support the show, the annual Fireworks Fundraiser will be held May 26th at the Cayucos School Auditorium. Guests will enjoy BBQ and no host bar along with fun and prizes.
Donations are also accepted year-round by the Cayucos Chamber of Commerce.
