Restoring Native Habitat: Earth Day at the Botanical Garden

Invasive species pose an enormous threat to many of our native habitats on the Central Coast. California’s State Park lands are no exception. Native habitat restoration is one way staff fulfill State Park’s mission to protect and restore outstanding and representative examples of California’s natural values. Join environmental scientist, Jodi Isaacs, on Saturday, April 24th from 1-2 pm, as she presents the ‘restoration story’ of habitats once dominated by invasive non-native plants, now converted to thriving native habitats. See how Morro Strand State Beach and Montana de Oro State Park have been transformed. Learn how native habitat restoration can benefit wildlife and humans, alike.

The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is pleased to bring you this online talk in celebration of Earth Day as part of our Saturday in the Garden series.
