Happy Foto Friday!

In just over a month, thousands of black and gold Monarch butterflies will cluster in the limbs of the Eucalyptus trees at the  Monarch Butterfly Grove, providing us with a breathtaking glimpse of nature in all her vibrant glory. This colony, easily accessible from Highway 1, is one of the largest in the nation, hosting an average of 50,000 butterflies every year.  Monarch Butterflies start their migration around late October and remain at the grove through February.

Save the date! The Monarch Butterfly Grove Opening Day Celebration will be held on November 1, 2014!
