Looking to get away from the city where it’s quite, isolated off the grid, totally solar, in the middle of nowhere? Los Padres National Forest is the place. Great for couples who enjoy the outdoors and solo adventurers. Enjoy stargazing and hiking. Spring brings wildflowers, wildlife and birdwatching. Days can be hot and nights cool to cold. Road is ROUGH and dusty. Bring your own food and fill your gas tank before coming out. Horses and motorcycles welcome.

The space

We are off the main highway on a rough dirt road where you can see the surrounding mountains. It is very quiet and peaceful. beautiful evenings and sunsets! Hot to cool breezes during the day and cools off at night. Wildlife will often come into the yard. If you plan on hiking on the trails beware of the wildlife. You may see the following wildlife: quail, dove, eagle, rattlesnake, occasionally mountain lion, bobcat, turkey, bear.

Guest access

Guest have their own large covered private patio, BBQ pit and Blackstone grill, plus access to all the common areas, including the main house porches, and yard. Sleeeping arrangement is queen bed in the bedroom, living room full futon, twin couch. So two couples plus one or three singles.

Interaction with guests

We enjoy meeting new people, so we are friendly and encourage you to interact. If you’re in need of something and we have we are happy to share.

Other things to note

This is a wilderness area where dust and dirt is present at all times. We are a licensed Airbnb. We close when the rains start in the winter months. National forest is hot and dry, often windy in evenings, can be dusty. There may be more motorcycles and ATVs on the trails on weekends, than weekdays.
