Laurel Sherrie Studio

Off the beaten path, this award winning artist's studio is in a charming rural area of the Arroyo Grande Valley. It's a busy working studio with finished paintings, in-progress paintings and paintings stacked up and ready to go to galleries, exhibits, and clients, all in a bucolic, serene setting.

Laurel Sherrie paints impassioned landscapes in oil, focusing on rural, coastal and wild California. Her art evokes emotional response from viewers and invites them to share the scenes and essence of unique California light as she has experienced it. Laurel's paintings have been featured on the cover of SkyWest magazine and Vine Times. She was one of 25 plein air painters invited to paint on location at Hearst Castle, at both the 2009 and 2010 Plein Air Invitationals.

Laurel is a member of S.L.O.P.E. (San Luis Obispo Painters for the Environment, www.slope-painters.com, a group of professional plein-air painters who use their work to help preserve treasured places in San Luis Obispo County.
